Safety
The safety and well-being of our campers and staff are our top priorities. Our commitment to providing a secure environment is reflected in our comprehensive security protocols.
Partnerships
We have a strong relationship with the Henderson County Sheriff & local police. We work closely with the Secure Community Network (SCN) - the official safety and security organization of the Jewish community in North America to remain up-to-date on best practices. Most importantly CJ hires a private security company that secures our campus during the summer.
24/7 Surveillance
We have two guards at camp 24/7 during the summer season. Our campus is equipped with security cameras and monitoring stations strategically placed throughout the campus.
Campus Access
Only authorized personnel are allowed onto camp property. New for this summer, all staff will have their IDs checked when entering the property and all guests will need to sign in at the guardhouse. All guests will have to wear a CJ visitor badge at all times while at camp.
Emergency Response
We maintain a robust emergency response plan that is in-line with American Camping Association and Secure Community Network best practices. Our Professional Team and Summer Staff are trained in handling situations ranging from medical emergencies to potential security threats.
Communication
At camp, we have a robust IT infrastructure and communication system that includes an emergency paging system, walkie-talkies, emergency phones, and panic buttons throughout camp. Email, SMS messages, and the Campanion app push notifications are used to communicate with families in the event of an emergency. Please be sure to opt-in to the SMS consent form in your forms dashboard.
