Affording Camp
We are so grateful that you’ve entrusted us with an unforgettable summer experience. Now that your camper(s) is enrolled, you are eligible to apply for scholarships and additional funding opportunities.
At Camp Judaea, we believe every child deserves the opportunity to experience the joy and growth of a Jewish summer camp and providing access to our programs reflects our values of inclusivity and equity. We understand that the cost of camp can feel daunting, and we are committed to supporting families in making a CJ summer possible, regardless of financial circumstances.
As a nonprofit organization, Camp Judaea’s scholarship funds are limited. Therefore, we ask families to explore all available local resources before applying to CJ for tuition assistance.
Here are a few places to start:
- Check your eligibility for One Happy Camper or PJ Goes to Camp grants. These are typically available for first-time campers (and in some cases second-time campers). This scholarship is not needs-based.
- Apply to CJ’s funding partners: your local Jewish Federation, synagogues, Jewish Children and Family Services, and other local organizations. We have done extensive research on local opportunities and have compiled a list that you can find on our website.
- CJ provides needs-based scholarships through the Camp Judaea Scholarship Fund for registered families who are on a payment plan. If you have not yet set up a payment plan, please contact Gayle Kaplan to make arrangements.
Camp Judaea partners with FACTS to process scholarship applications, and the application for Summer 2026 is now open. The deadline to submit is February 2, 2026. FACTS is a secure platform used by over three million families at more than 11,500 schools and camps. They handle the collection, documentation, and verification of your application materials. There is a $45 fee per family, which also covers applications for other programs such as Tel Yehudah, Year Course, and Gesher.
After submission, each application is reviewed confidentially by our Scholarship Committee. We will notify families as early as possible, and we appreciate your patience as our volunteer committee completes this detailed process.
