A Camp Judaean Values:
Kindness/ ืืกื / Chesedย
At Camp Judaea, kindness means offering a helping hand, using words that uplift, and ensuring that everyone feels included, welcomed, and valued. We treat others with care, empathy, and compassion when at Camp and at home.ย When we are kind, we create a community where everyone feels supported, appreciated, and part of something meaningful.
Integrity/ ืืืฉืจ /Yosherย
At Camp Judaea, integrity means taking ownership of our actions and having the courage to stand up for what we believe in, even when it is hard. It means doing whatโs right, even when no one is watching. Living with integrity challenges us to be a Dugma Ishit (personal role model) for others and to build a camp community rooted in trust and mutual understanding.
Respect/ ืืืื / Kavodย ย
At Camp Judaea, respect means valuing each other and the spaces we share, both at Camp and at home. We honor our differences and celebrate our similarities. We follow the rules of camp. We listen with intention, communicate mindfully, and treat each other fairly. Respect also means caring for our camp and community property, other campers and staff. When we act respectfully, we create a safe and welcoming space where everyone feels heard and a true sense of belonging.ย
Responsibility/ ืืืจืืืช / Achrayutย ย
At Camp Judaea, responsibility means taking ownership of our actions, supporting our community, and making choices that contribute to a positive camp experience. We strive to be dependable by following through on commitments and understanding how our actions impact others. When we act responsibly--whether by taking care of ourselves, respecting camp rules, or looking out for our friends--we help create a safe, welcoming, and thriving environment for all.
